Balance-This photo was taken on the side walk of the student parking lot . -There are two red cars which are similar because of the color and there is one white making it different from the others . - This photo was successful because the three cars were set up the exact way I wanted them to be . Proportion
RhythmEmphasis-This picture was taken of my friend Amber , since emphasis focuses on one thing in the picture and she has beautiful eyes i instantly thought she would be perfect for this picture -I liked how this picture turned out because her eyes seem to be the center of attention . - I was happy with the glow that is shown in her eyes Harmony- This photo was taken near the weight room - I think this picture worked for harmony because of the way the sun was shinning through the very green trees - I was happy with how green the trees look and how the sun adds more beauty to the picture LineLine: A line is one dimensional and can vary in width , direction , and length . Lines also can define the edges of a form . Lines lead your eye around the composition . ColorColor : has three main characteristics :hue ( red , yellow , green ) value ( how light or how dark it is ) . Colors can also be described as warm ( red , yellow) , or cool ( blue , green ) Monochromatic - one color plus its tints ( adding white ) and shades ( adding black) Analogous colors - colors next to each other on the color wheel ( ex red & orange ) ShapeShape is two dimensional , with a height and width Organic shape : a shape made by nature. Not completely defined Inorganic shape : manmade - such as triangles and rectangles FormForm : Form is three dimensional, has height and width and depth. Photographers emphasize form by the use of highlights and shadows TextureTexture : The surface quality of an object that we sense through touch. All objects have a physical texture ( think : dolphin smooth) SpaceSpace : real space is three dimensional . space in a work of art refers to a feeling of depth or three dimensions Positive space : The space occupied by the primary subject Negative space : The space around the primary object ValueValue : Value is the lightness or darkness of a surface , it is frequently used when talking about shading , but it is also important in the study of color . Principles of art : The principles of art are the rules or guidelines of art , used to organize or arrange the structural elements of design , principles are balance , proportion , rhythm , emphasis , harmony , variety ,and unity . Emphasis : Emphasis is to make one part of an artwork dominant over the other parts . It attracts the viewer’s eyes to place of special importance in an artwork Harmony : Harmony is the pleasing quality achieved by different elements of a composition interacting to form a whole . Harmony is often accomplished through repetition of the same or similar characteristic Variety : Differences achieved by opposing , contrasting , changing , elaborating , or diversifying elements in a composition to add individualism and interest Unity : The result of bringing the elements of art into appropriate ratio between harmony and variety to achieve a sense of oneness . It is the sense that everything works together and looks like it fits . LineLine: A line is one dimensional and can vary in width , direction , and length . In this photo respect is being shown by staying drug free in others words keeping your body clean from any kind of drugs . The decision is all in your own hands , no one makes decisions for yourself , you as your own person decide on your own . Keeping your body clean is a sign of respect to yourself because you're taking care of your body . Feeling good about yourself is very important as well as staying healthy it brings happiness in oneself .
1. To create light painting the room in which you are taking your pictures must be completely dark , the camera should be set to Manual mode with Manual focus . The camera was set on a tripod and my partner stood in front of the camera and either used his phone using the app called " My light paint" or glow sticks as lights . He created different shapes or symbols withe the lights.
2. One struggle I had with taking these pictures were capturing my partner as well and making sure it wasn't too dark . 3. Three of the most important things are - Being in a dark room -The camera is set to manual mode with manual focus - Have glow sticks or download the light paint app in order to see the shapes being created 1. Changing to Shutter speed priority focuses on Shutter speed , To do that there is a dial that can be switched at the top of the camera , Switching it to " S " makes the camera focus on shutter speed priority .
2. The lower the Shutter Speed the less clear the back round looks meaning the people in the back don't look as clear as the person in the front which in that picture is the center of attention. As the shutter speed is increased the more clear the people in the back look . It also captures them in the air making it look like they are floating but in reality the high shutter speed captures the movements of them a lot more clear . 3. It all depends on the moment that is wanted to be captured . Either low or high shutter speed can be used . 4. Shutter Speed Notes - Shutter speed are both a technical and aesthetic choice a photographer needs to make before releasing the shutter - The shutter inside your camera controls the duration of time the sensor is exposed to light - Capturing blur or motion in your photograph can emphasize movement and add drama - A fast shutter speed is often utilized to freeze the movement of a subject - A slower shutter speed can be used to show motion and visualize movement - Shutter speeds are expressed as seconds or fractions of seconds - As a general rule to prevent unintentional camera shake you should avoid handholding your digital cameras at shutter speeds slower - Using a tripod can eliminate camera shake when using slower shutter speed - Layering motion of different subjects moving different directions at different speeds can set up interesting dynamics within a photograph - Fast shutter speed can make normal subjects appear to freeze in the air - When photographing people running relatively close to the camera a shutter speed of 1/1000 second or faster should freeze most motion - The distance the subject is from the camera, the speed of the subject, and the focal length of the lens will affect whether the subject is sharp or blurred - Low shutter speed can help convey the idea of motion and movement - Slow shutter speed combined with panning can help isolate the subject from a busy and distracting background - A tripod combined with a long exposure can capture the fireworks’ trails - Water movement can be emphasized with long exposures Daguerrotype was invented by Louis Jaques Mande Daguerre and introduced world wide in 1836 . An English scientist and astronomer Sir John Herschel discovered the procedure in 1842.
The chemicals used in cyanotype are : Potassium ferricyanide and Ferric ammonium citrate (green) are mixed with water separately . To create my cyanotype first we had to choose a negative paper with an image then under that we placed a yellow paper where the negative yellow paper laid . We were able to choose any object that we wanted to then we lay a clear plastic flat surface on top of the negative along with the objects . Leave it out in the sun for 5 minutes . After it has been in the sun for the correct amount of time you lay it in water and stir it around then add a few drops of Hydrogen peroxide until the image turns very blue you take it out to dry and its set . |
AuthorMany people enjoy being in front of the camera but I would rather be behind it Archives
